The MAYO Conservative Hip Prosthesis offers a bone-saving treatment
option for primary femoral replacement. Implantation requires minimal
bone removal, leaving intact elements of fixation that would otherwise
be lost in a traditional primary arthroplasty.1 This
conservative approach leaves bone stock for revision procedures, making
the prosthesis appropriate for younger patients who, in the surgeon's
judgment, may need to plan for future joint replacement surgery.
